Green pepper wilt – recognize and react in time

Green wilt of peppers (Verticillium allo-atrum) represents one of the most significant diseases in modern pepper production – both in the open field and in greenhouse conditions. Combined with frequent temperature fluctuations and optimal soil moisture, infection can develop very quickly and cause serious damage.

🔍 Symptoms of the disease:

  • Gradual wilting of certain plants
  • The leaves soften and fall off, but remain green
  • Dark color of the conducting vessels on the cross section of the tree
  • They wilt in the hottest part of the day due to difficulty in receiving water and nutrients

🌡️ Conditions favorable to development:

  • Air temperature: 26–30 °C
  • Moist, sandy soil with a pH value of 7–8
  • Unfavorable crop rotation and infected substrate

🛡️ Agrounik recommends: ERWIX

For effective prevention and control of green pepper wilt, use ERWIX – a biological preparation that acts systemically and protects the plant from the inside.

Method of application: through the irrigation system (fertigation)
