The AGROUNIK TECHNOLOGY concept was created as a result of multi-disciplinary scientific research in which the effects of the application of PGPR bacteria from the Agrounik collection in the production of field crops, vegetables and flowers, fruit and vines were investigated. From 2007 to 2021, Agrounik participated in the implementation of a total of 15 scientific projects, independently or in cooperation with numerous scientific institutions. As a result of these projects, the industrial production of 23 preparations was established, which are registered for use in organic production and are on the market in the country and abroad.
These preparations activate the natural resources of the soil, the sources of which provide optimal amounts of nutrients for plants, stimulate the processes of seed germination, the development of roots and the above-ground part of the plant, stimulate photosynthesis, increase the resistance of plants to adverse environmental conditions and protection against diseases and pests. Agricultural production is characterized by the intensive use of heavy machinery, mineral fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation. These agrotechnical measures, if applied inadequately, affect the degradation of the soil, damage to its structure, loss of the humus horizon, leaching of nutrients from the surface layer, acidification or salinization of the soil.
