Timely and properly performed pruning is the basis for a stable and high-quality crop in the coming season. In accordance with the weather conditions and the phase of the vegetation, the fruit growers in this period implemented a series of agrotechnical and auxiliary measures that ensure a good start to the vegetation.
In Luka Tomić’s orchard in Vodnje, pruning was completed and coordinated with the habit of the plant, autumn fertilization and the planned crop, which is an example of good practice in the field.
After pruning, the application of copper protection has an important role in reducing the infectious potential of disease-causing agents. For this purpose, it is recommended to use the product AIRONE WG – a copper fungicide and biobactericide intended for the preventive protection of fruit trees before the beginning of the growing season.
