Get rid of pathogens with ERWIX – Your biological ally

ERWIX – Biobactericide and Biofungicide

ERWIX is a microbiological preparation containing the saprophytic bacterium Bacillus subtilis. This bacterium produces antimicrobial metabolites, such as suffractin, which prevent the development of phytopathogens. Bacillus subtilis is known for its antibacterial and antifungal activity, which makes it effective against many pathogens, such as:

  • Botrytis cinerea
  • Alternaria solani
  • Fusarium spp.
  • Verticillium albo-atrum
  • Xanthomonas spp. i Pseudomonas spp.
  • Pythium spp.

One of the most destructive pathogens affecting seedling production is seedling lodging caused by species of the genus Pythium.

Instructions for use:

  • Amount of application: 100 ml of ERWIX preparation per 10 liters of water.
  • Method of application: Watering the seedlings, with a solution consumption of 0.7-1 liters per m².

Fusarium wilt, caused by species of the genus Fusarium, is one of the most damaging diseases of vegetables, which affects the root system, causing wilting and decay of plants.

Verticillium wilt, caused by spores of the genus Verticillium, is also a serious problem in agriculture, especially on vegetables and other plant crops.

  • Amount of application: Against wilting and pathogens in the rhizosphere, 1 liter per 5 ares.
  • Method of application: Preventive treatment or immediately after planting, through the irrigation system. Repeat the treatment after 7 days.

Treatment with foliar applications can be carried out with a solution with a concentration of 1%-2%.

Action of the preparation ERWIX:
The preparation ERWIX works preventively and curatively against these diseases. Bacillus subtilis creates substances that inhibit the growth and spread of pathogens, reducing the chances of infection. In addition, its application reduces the need for chemical pesticides, thereby contributing to sustainable and environmentally friendly plant health management.
