Agrounik Joins the International Research Project GUARDAGENTS

We are proud that Agrounik is part of the international research project GUARDAGENTS, funded through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme. The project brings together leading research institutions and partners from Greece, the Czech Republic, Türkiye, and Serbia with a shared goal of developing innovative biological solutions for plant protection.

How can we protect plants from viral diseases while reducing the use of conventional pesticides?

This is the question addressed by the GUARDAGENTS project, which explores the potential of nanobodies—small, highly stable protein molecules that could become the next generation of biological solutions for sustainable plant protection. 🌱

As part of the project, our colleagues participated in a research visit to the University of Patras (Greece), where they were involved in laboratory work and research activities in molecular biology, protein science, cell culture techniques, and other advanced biotechnological methods.

The project aims to develop innovative biological solutions that could contribute to:

🧪 More effective protection against plant viral diseases
🌾 Healthier and more resilient crops
🌍 Reduced environmental impact of agriculture
👩‍🌾 More sustainable and safer food production

We are proud to contribute to the development of science-based solutions that connect biotechnology and sustainable agriculture through international collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and expertise with partners from leading European research institutions. 🤝
