Protection of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries from gray rot during harvest – recommendation of Agrounik expert service

Warm and humid weather during the ripening and harvesting period creates ideal conditions for the development of gray fruit rot (Botrytis cinerea), one of the most important diseases of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Infections develop rapidly in this period, leading to fruit decay, yield reduction and crop quality impairment.

A special challenge is the fact that during the harvest, the application of most synthetic fungicides is limited due to mandatory compliance with the withdrawal period, which leaves producers with few opportunities for effective protection.

Solution without waiting period – ERWIX

The company Agrounik recommends the application of the biopesticide ERWIX in a dose of 7.5–10 l/ha for effective suppression of the causative agent of gray rot (Botrytis cinerea).

The preparation does not have a withdrawal period, which allows its use between harvests, without production downtime and without jeopardizing the safety of the fruits.

Advantages of applying ERWIX

✔ Effectively suppresses gray rot (Botrytis cinerea)
✔ Increases the natural resistance of plants
✔ Does not cause pathogen resistance
✔ No withdrawal period – can be applied between harvests
✔ Safe for beneficial organisms and the environment
✔ Suitable for organic and conventional production

Application recommendation

  • Preparation: ERWIX
  • Dosage: 7.5–10 l/ha
  • Maximum number of treatments: 4
  • Time of application: during ripening and between harvests, according to the conditions for the development of the disease

Timely application of the ERWIX preparation allows preserving the health of the fruits, reduces losses during harvesting and contributes to the top quality of the crop, even in conditions of increased disease pressure.
