Rozalix

ROZALIX is a registered biopesticide for the biological protection of fruits against drying of flowers and fruit rot of Monilinia laxa.
Application during flowering protects the flower, reduces shedding and enables the formation of healthy fruits. It is suitable for organic and conventional production.

Description

ROZALIX is a registered biopesticide for the preventive protection of fruit trees against monilia (drying of flowers and fruit rot).
It works by beneficial microorganisms inhabiting the surface of flowers and young fruits and preventing the development of pathogens that cause drying of twigs and rot.

The greatest damage from monilia occurs precisely during flowering. The pathogen attacks the flower immediately after opening, and the consequences are later manifested as:

Application of Rozalix in the flowering phase creates a natural protective microflora on the plant, so the pathogen has no conditions for development.

When specifically recommended

What the producer gets

ROZALIX contains an active strain of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis, a beneficial microorganism naturally present on plants and in the soil.

After spraying, the bacterium quickly colonizes the surface of the flower, young leaves and fruits and forms a protective microbiological layer.

Pathogens (eg monilia) attack the flower immediately after opening.
Bacillus subtilis then acts in three ways simultaneously:

  1. Takes place of the pathogen (biological competition)

The bacterium first settles on the flower and uses the space and food that the fungus needs for infection.
The pathogen then has nowhere to develop.

In other words, the flower is already “occupied”, so monilia cannot be established.

  1. It secretes natural antibiotic substances

Bacillus subtilis produces natural antimicrobial substances (lipopeptides and enzymes) that:

Therefore, the infection is stopped before it enters the plant.

  1. It activates the plant’s immunity

The bacterium stimulates the plant’s natural resistance (induced systemic resistance).

The plant then:

Result on the fruit tree

ROZALIX contains an active microbiological strain of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis.

This beneficial bacterium is naturally present in the plant environment and is known for its ability to prevent the development of pathogens on the surface of plant organs (flower, leaf, fruit).

After applying the bacteria:

The preparation does not contain chemical fungicides and is safe for plants, beneficial insects and the environment, which is why it is also suitable for organic production.

Application of ROZALIX during flowering protects the most sensitive phase of fruit tree development – the flower.

For the manufacturer it means

ROZALIX is applied by foliar spraying in a concentration of 1% solution, with good wetting of flowers and young twigs.

The treatment is best done in the morning or evening, especially before the announced rainy periods, because then there is the greatest risk of infection with monilia.

In wet and cold weather, it is recommended to repeat the treatment after 5-7 days.
